We want to continue offering you a sacred space to relax, disconnect and reset but we also want to make sure that it’s as safe as possible for both our guests and our staff. To that end, we hope you consider employing kindness and empathy with others, and yourself as we all move through this together.
SHOULD I WORRY ABOUT CONTRACTING ANY VIRUSES FROM THE FLOAT WATER?
Short answer, No. There are many factors that play into this (in particular our excellent sanitization process), but the salinity of the float water actively prohibits bacterium from growing. Our float tanks come equipped with UV sterilization units, but we also use disinfectants/oxidizers in the float tank water to keep the environment clean and safe. To date, we have not seen any incidents of contagion from any float tank that was properly maintained and sanitized. Recently, the CDC issued a statement where COVID-19 can not be transmitted through ‘recreational water’ with proper sanitization, disinfecting and maintenance, such as the water in our floatation therapy tanks!
WHAT ABOUT YOUR SPACE?
We use products like Benefect Disinfectant, Attitude Disinfectant and Dr Bronner’s Castile soaps on top of our classic vinegar and water method for cleaning our entire space. We actively spray down our door handles, sharable surfaces and are generally always cleaning. Our Cleaning Overlord, Lindsay, is all about the mantra “if there’s time to lean, there’s time to clean.” We adhere to this. We always provide access to soaps and products to wash your hands, and are providing compostable cups for your post-float tea. Our entire team is onboard with keeping our space clean & safe.
IF I AM CONCERNED ABOUT FLOATING RIGHT NOW, CAN I CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?
Normally, we ask for a 24 hour cancellation notice. If you are feeling unwell, we are always happy to cancel your appointment for free within that time period. The safety and health of our community is our #1 priority.
WE MAY HAVE TO CANCEL YOUR APPOINTMENT!
It may be that our staff gets sick and we need to cancel your appointment due to lack of available staff. We thank you for understanding that we put the health of our entire community first, and we will do our best to make sure you are taken care of when we are better able to do so.
