Have you ever experienced an Ashiatsu Massage? Until meeting Monika Bigelow, The Floatation Centre’s newest team addition, neither had I! Monika is only one of two Ashiatsu Practitioners in Nova Scotia and we are happy to have her on board. To begin, Monika will be practicing traditional massage techniques, but moving forward, we will be expanding the space to accommodate for her unique style and practice. You can find out more details about Monika via her personal website here.
We are so happy to have Monika as part of our Wellness Team! She has been working tirelessly to help promote the practice of floating with her friends, family and current clients. Ever-grateful!
Monika Bigelow

Monika has always been fascinated with how intricate the bodily systems connect and interact with muscles and skeleton. Coupled with the mind and spirit, all strive towards health and wholeness. She graduated as an RMT with Honours from International Complementary Therapies (ICT) Kikkawa College in Toronto, Ontario and successfully completed the Board Exams administered by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.
Monika uses a variety of techniques to provide relaxation massage. She also successfully treats many client issues such as headaches, sports injuries, chronic pain, frozen shoulder, upper/lower back pain, whiplash, etc. She understands the importance of meditation and often recommends it as an integral part of a client’s treatment plan.
She looks forward to many years of helping people live their best lives by decreasing their pain levels and encouraging healing.
Monika will be available Saturdays and Sundays, beginning May 16th, at The Floatation Centre.
