Lisa Hadley, Registered Acupuncturist

After many years of chronic pain sustained in a severe motor vehicle accident early in life, Lisa decided to break away from her dedicated role as a mother of 4 to follow her passion as a healer. Spurred by her own pain and the continued strife of her loved ones suffering various health conditions, she discovered acupuncture. She was amazed at the ability of traditional medicines to provide both physical and mental relief and thus break down barriers to life improvement.Lisa graduated with honours from the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.

She is trained in Acupressure Massage, Fire Cupping, Guasha Therapy, as well as TCM herbal and food cures. Lisa has furthered her training and holds Japanese Usui Reiki Level 2 and Vibrational Sound Therapy Certificates. She has also been trained in Shamanic energy healing techniques, Chakra Balancing and Sacred Geometry. Lisa aims to provide individualized treatment plans and the highest quality of service to her patients.

Cupping: A vacuum is created inside a glass cup, or sometimes silicone cups are used. These cups are placed on the muscles to help reduce pain and tension. The cups can be left stationary to target specific organs or conditions or can be moved around for a unique massage experience. Cupping can be used to treat cold and flu symptoms, allergies and to improve immunity, as well as for weight loss and facial rejuvenation.Sound Therapy: Sound healing is one of the oldest healing techniques in any culture. Methods such as gongs, signing bowls and chanting have been used for centuries to heal the body. Currently in clinic Lisa uses two different sound therapy techniques. One is using non-audible vibration from tuning forks directly on the body to help move stagnant or stuck energy. She finds this method specially great for knee pain and headaches. The second technique uses audible tuning forks to clear away energy blockages in the aura, or energy field around the body. This can help resolve old issues and traumas and is thought to be very effective for post concussion issues as well as PTSD.

Guasha is an alternative therapy where the muscles are oiled and scraped with a special tool to relieve tension. It is most commonly used for neck and shoulder tension, but can also be used anywhere on the body. Guasha is also great for facial pain and rejuvenation.
